Indian Classical Dance Series: BHARTNATYAM

'Bharatnatyam' is the 2nd from the series of 'Indian Classical Dance', which is from the state of Tamil Nadu. This dance form, found its root, precisely at Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu.

In this dance form, dancers adorns beautiful attair made of colorful silk with golden borders, they also adorn golden kemp or temple jewelry. 

Bharatnatyam movements are more straight and angular, compared to other Indian Classical Dance forms.

The background of the painting is inspired from the famous Bhrihadeshwara Temple in Thanjavur.

This painting is done on 18' × 14' canvas with acrylic paint and varnished to protect it from dust and sunlight.
